HISTORY  OF NACORN

I am Ngala Muyu the brain behind NACORN. Now the whole idea started many years back when I thought of how I could materialize all what I had learnt from school as a masters graduate in Agribusiness Management then. 

After my graduation from school in 2014, i applied for various jobs and volunteer positions but was never taken for any . It was so frustrating , but this frustration made me to think out of the box. 

So I came up with the idea of transforming Corn or Maize and soybeans into its Semi-Finished state which will ease the cooking process  thus reducing transaction cost ( time and money ). I realized many people are busy in life and some barely have time to cook talk less of going through the whole process .

I thought of the fact that what if someone could just have semi finished  products  it will ease the cooking process for instance  if one could just have  semi cooked Corn for Cornchaff, with the reduction of transactions cost this was going to make a difference and facilitate cooking in less than no time  , if one could have already processed corn flour  it was going to facilitate the cooking process thus minimizing time and cost . The business was exciting then , but along the line  a lot of financial draw backs stepped in together with poor marketing strategies and so I had to halt the business . 

Travelled for a 6 months Agribusiness post graduate scholarship course at the Kenyatta University Nairobi Kenya . Increased some knowledge in Agribusiness , came back had a job and in my mind i was going to work for several years so I could raise some capital but while working a lot of projects home came up and I used my savings not knowing my contract at work was going to be terminated , so i loose my Job after which  I decided to take a Masters  course in Agribusiness Marketing .  

All these experiences spurred me up again to revamp my business, though limited financially, I am more determined to take the business to another level  since I am convinced  that this business will help others as well. So its not just about Corn and soybeans  but  its together with other Agricultural products like cassava , Cocoyams, Koki beans, Banana, Plantains ,  etc

Service wise I decided to add two major areas as far as NACORN is concerned

-          -Agribusiness Consultancy

-          -Kingdom Entrepreneurship (Raising kingdom entrepreneurs  who will be able to hustle with grace and do business in all honesty thus making a difference in the business world)

The future of NACORN is to set up transformation centers where some of these products could be further transformed into its final state for instance corn flour into biscuit, cake, cookies and lot more , cassava flour into bread, cake , etc.
